Spontaneous Audio Devices was founded by Arthur “Midget” Sloatman. Based in Nashville, TN, SA Devices is dedicated to providing high quality, distinctive musical devices to inspire creative producers and performing artists.
Arthur “Midget” Sloatman is a long time designer and technician. Beginning with a decade of work as Frank Zappa’s studio technician at the Utility Research Muffin Kitchen, he has logged hours for AKG, the original Los Angeles Record Plant, Blackbird Studios, BSS, and many others. While responsible for designing and building the audio and power overlays at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, TN, he also refurbished and re-designed their now legendary “Silver Buss” Neve 8078. Arthur continues to provide service and custom electronics through his own enterprise, Midget Electronics.
